Bart and Ben are seasoned lawyers who have been helping clients with their real estate needs for 2+ decades in the Roaring Fork Valley, the other resort areas of Colorado, and beyond. 

Bart Johnson

Member and Manager
Bart has been a real estate and land use lawyer for approximately 30 years, representing clients in the Aspen area and most of the other resort areas of Colorado, and in the Denver metro area. He has worked on major real estate projects in not only Aspen and Snowmass, but also Vail, Beaver Creek, Crested Butte, Telluride, Winter Park, Copper Mountain, and LoDo Denver. In addition to being a go-to lawyer for many of the area’s most successful developers, he has represented buyers and sellers in billions of dollars worth of ultra high-end residential transactions, including over $450,000,000 in 2024 alone. Bart graduated from Middlebury College. He obtained his law degree from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Denver University Law Review. Before entering private practice, he clerked for a federal judge on the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ben Genshaft

Member
Ben has been assisting clients with residential and commercial real estate transactions for approximately 23 years, focusing primarily on representing buyers and sellers within the Roaring Fork Valley. Ben routinely helps buyers, sellers and their brokers with purchase and sale agreements, due diligence matters and closings. Ben also works frequently with real estate investors, lenders, developers, brokers, landlords, tenants, builders, architects and consultants on real estate related transactions. Ben graduated from the University of Vermont. He obtained his law degree from Case Western University School of Law, where he served as Publisher of the Case Western Reserve Law Review. Ben is also a full member and rescue leader with Mountain Rescue Aspen and regularly participates in search and rescue operations in Pitkin County.
